Glanteifi is the central part of a large Georgian house, now split into 3, set within 3 acres of shared grounds on the shore of the river Teifi, just outside the village of St Dogmaels and the glorious golden beach of Poppit Sands. Renovated throughout and furnished in a contemporary style, it makes a fantastic house for family and friends. With its wonderful full height windows, high ceilings and vast rooms, it gives plenty of space. The views from many of the rooms are simply breathtaking out over the river and down to Poppit Sands and the mouth of the river Teifi estuary. The spacious lounge with comfy sofas and open fire for cosying up on chillier evenings has French doors opening to the gravelled terrace overlooking the shared, landscaped grounds and the river, perfect for enjoying a drink on a summer’s evening. The dining room, equally as large, is ideal for leisurely meals prepared in the excellent modern, fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. The 2 master bedrooms on the first floor also offer the most stunning views down the river to the beach.
The extensive, shared terraced grounds are yours to wander, reaching down to the river bank with sheltered sunny patios and large lawns giving space for children to play, while the newly renovated tennis court will provide hours of delight. There is an excellent farmers market in the village itself, as well as one in Cardigan, a 5 minute drive away, which also has many specialist shops and restaurants. There are several pubs within walking distance serving good food as well as a popular fish and chip shop. Join the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path at Poppit Sands and explore the beautiful coastline. The Teifi river and estuary are just perfect for those who enjoy messing around on the water and also for bird and wildlife lovers. A boat trip round Cardigan Bay is a must to see the resident bottle nose dolphins, porpoise and grey seals.
